CORE opened its doors in January 2016 with one clear vision: to redefine the fitness experience. Our mission has always been simple — to create a welcoming space for everyone, regardless of goal, ability, or experience. Today, our Maidstone gym brings together a thriving community that spans all ages and backgrounds, from complete beginners to elite international athletes.

Do you do Day Passes?
Yes — buy online (for same-day use) or at reception (£9.99).
How do I cancel my membership?
Email crew@corethegym.com with your name, address and reason. We’ll confirm your last payment date* and membership end date**. *If your next payment falls within the 30-day notice, that becomes your last payment. **Membership ends 30 days after your final payment. We must hear from the member, not a third party.
Can I suspend my membership?
Yes — up to 12 months. Email crew@corethegym.com with the dates.
Do you do classes?
Yes — our group classes are free and run all week. We post the weekly timetable every Sunday at 7pm on Facebook & Instagram; it’s also in the FitSense app.
Do you have parking?
Members get 2 hours free in The Mall multi-storey/rooftop. Enter your reg on our tablets in-gym. If you run over, pay the difference at the pay station.
Opening times (incl. bank holidays)?
Mon–Fri 6am–10pm · Sat/Sun & Bank Holidays 7am–8pm. Open 365 days (Christmas Day often reduced hours — see socials).
Joining fees / contracts?
£10 joining fee on student membership only. No contract periods on Direct Debit, but 30 days’ notice to cancel via email.
When are you busiest?
Use the Plan Visit tab in the FitSense app for live occupancy and typical peaks. Mondays/Tuesdays 3:30–5:30pm can be busy; we may queue to keep workouts flowing.
Showers, lockers, changing rooms?
Yes — full male/female changing, showers and lockers. We can supply padlocks.

Check the list above and chat to 2–3 trainers to find the best fit for your goals.
Do you do training programs?
We have multiple programmes (ask at reception) and tailored 1-to-1s bookable at reception or via 01622 683367.
Minimum age?
15+. We reserve the right to revoke membership if any member behaves irresponsibly.
Will my membership price increase?
We’ve never increased prices for active Direct Debit members. If you cancel and rejoin later, you’ll join at the current rate.
Accessibility
Yes — the gym is fully DDA compliant.
How many calories should I eat?
Use our calorie calculator for a maintenance estimate. Rough guide: a 500 kcal/day deficit ≈ ~1 lb/week loss. Exact needs vary by person.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes — outside peak periods and so long as it doesn’t impact other members.

This one is an obvious benefit. At Newport MMA, we teach you practical skills that can be used in the real world by men, women, and children. Our Ladies’ Street Self-Defense program is designed to empower women to defend themselves and then escape safely.
